Bergamot Essential Oil – Did You Know?

Have you ever tried Bergamot Essential Oil? Its one of our ALL-TIME favorites – an incredibly versatile oil with many uses, Bergamot is a lesser-known citrus fruit, also called the Bergamot Orange, and originated in the town of Bergamo in Northern Italy. The oil is cold-pressed from the peel of the fruit, which has been compared in size to an orange and in color to a lemon or lime.

Here are 5 simple uses for Bergamot Essential Oil you’ll love!

Ease Tension If you or someone you know has a difficult time relaxing or calming down at times, simply dab a drop of Bergamot Essential Oil onto the palm of the hand, rub your hands lightly together, and cup them in front of the nose and mouth – inhale deeply, and let the scent fill your airways, then exhale slowly and completely. You will feel much more relaxed and at ease.

Healthy Digestion If you need a little extra digestive support, Bergamot Essential Oil may be able to help! Massage a drop or two onto the stomach after each meal to help keep things moving and reduce feelings of overindulgence.

Muscle Soreness – Give your sore muscles some relief by adding 5-6 drops of Bergamot Essential Oil to a lotion or massage cream. Massage the area in need, and feel relief from those nagging aches and pains.

Oily Scalp – If you have an oily scalp (or oily skin), massage some Bergamot Oil directly onto the scalp or area in need to reduce overly-oily skin and stimulate the senses.

Incredibly Calming Shower – At the end of a long day, what is better than deep relaxation? Apply Bergamot Essential Oil to the skin while showering, and inhale deeply as it purifies your skin, and fills your shower steam with its calming aroma. You’ll love it!
