Why is Frankincense considered to be the “King” of essential oils?
Frankincense comes from an oleo gum resin that originates from the Boswellia Frereana tree in the Middle Eastern region of the world. It was one of the gifts given to Jesus by the Three Wise Men. It’s properties and uses are universal and extensive. It can be used to support emotional balance, assist with the alleviation of pain and inflammation, as well as immune support. Its restorative properties can also benefit those who have or had tumors, seizures, mental disease, or have suffered brain injuries. It can be applied topically, aromatically, or internally.
When in doubt, pull the Frankincense out!
Here are 2 of our Favorite Diffuser Recipes featuring Frankincense:
“Unconditional Love” Diffuser Recipe
- 7 drops of wild orange
- 4 drops of frankincense
- 2 drops of bergamot
- 1 drop of ylang ylang
- 1 drop of geranium
“Brain-Fog Buster” Diffuser Recipe
- 1 drop cedarwood
- 1 drop frankincense
- 1 drop patchouli
- 1 drop sandalwood
- 1 drop vetiver
Recipes can also be placed in a 10ml roller bottle, fill remainder with carrier oil, and applied as needed for on the go support.
