Marjoram Essential Oil

(origanum marjorana)

Description: Marjoram is a plant that is native to the Mediterranean region; it is an amber colored liquid with a woody spicy and camphorus aroma. It has been used extensively in culinary applications and works great for muscular and rheumatic pains such as sprains, bruises or stiff joints.

Properties: Analgesic, Antisexual, Antioxidant, Antispasmodic, Antiviral, Carminative, Fungicidal, Hypotensive, Laxative, Sedative and Vasodilator

Historical Uses: Marjoram has been used to help relax muscles and balance the mind; it has a warming action, pain killing properties, and is known to help calm emotions.

Possible Uses: Diffuse to help with poor circulation, coughs, headaches, tension and to relieve stress. Use topically to help with sore joints, muscles and nerves. Take orally to aid with digestion or as a diuretic.

Blends Well With: Lavender, Cypress, Roman Chamomile, Bergamot, Eucalyptus, Melaleuca, Ylang Ylang
